Comparing Translations

First, I want let you know that this entry is from Clara but she couldn't upload it so I did.

Last 8th of January, Celia and I went to our second meeting of P.I.I.I.SA.
Unfortunelately, two of our partners resigned to the project, but we have avanced so much. After a intensive search of names and diferences between the original and the Spanish version, we have proceeded to a clasification of them in categories for each group specialices in a part of the whole world of names and play on words which constitutes the first book of "Harry Potter".
Our objectives for the next meeting, on 5th of February, are: Share our advances and see the strategies of traduction used in the Spanish version.
On this meeting we got ideas of how we can analyze the traduction of each member of the group.
Maybe, the part we have to do now isn't the most beautiful to do, but it's necesary to continue in our research, and, like our coordinator said: " The ability to be in touch with the university, working like we do here; it's a big oportunity which can helps you in a future to join in the labour market. "

  1. Congratulations!!! It's fantastic to read your post in English. I'm very glad. You two are brilliant. Why don't you write about those differences between the English and the Spanish versions of Harry Potter novels? In my opinion you must know very well English boarding schools ir order to understand everything you can read. I am looking forward to see your next post.
