The creative part of translations

Last 7th March Celia and I went to a new meeting.
We're in the creative part of the job that allows us to express comfortably about what changwould do to the translation of the book from the point of view of the young readers. It's such a wide matter that we could write a book about all the things that can vary from the original versions of the books to the translated versions but we have chosen the most striking in our opinion:

- Losses of meaning in the name of the characters.
-Mistakes in the translation. That includes from small omission to grammatical mistakes and others translator's mistakes.

- Cultural aspect. Harry Potter reflects a british style very pronounced (from the habit of drinking tea to Hogwarts, a typical british boarding school)

-Humor. Play on words and accents which haven't been translated to the Spanish version.



With all of this, we will finish writing our article.
